Lich Software
My own company: where client work, my own products and the infrastructure meet.
Under Lich Software I take freelance assignments, build my own products and release games as a small studio. One company, one server estate, and enough projects of my own to try decisions on myself first.
What the company does
Under Lich Software I take freelance assignments and build my own products. Outward facing it is also a small game studio, with a page per game and a devlog. The two sides feed each other: what works on my own projects I am willing to recommend to a client, and what disappoints costs nobody else time.
Static where it can be
The site runs on Statamic 6 inside Laravel 12 with full static caching. Content lives in flat files, not a database; SQLite is only there for users and sessions. Templates mix Blade and Antlers, with a page builder that assembles pages from blocks. So there is nothing to maintain and nothing to optimise.
My own infrastructure, and getting the bill myself
Everything sits on one server I run, rolled out through Coolify with a container and certificate per environment. Around twenty hostnames live there right now: client sites, my own products, an uptime monitor and a Lighthouse dashboard. That is why on an assignment I do not have to guess what a decision costs further down the chain.
What hangs under the company
A bookkeeping application with VAT returns, income tax and a mobile app beside it; the shop platform from this list; two mobile games; and a set of smaller services. Most of it is in use rather than in a drawer.
